Me and Paul are trying to setup wordpress for the Nick and Jayne Show and it has all been relitvly easy... EXCEPT ORCON
they won't let me turn off the redirect, so in NZ it comes up with the old site and over in USA it uses the new one!!!!

So i am going to call them at 9 to tell them to do it or ill be angry lol

New Displau WOOHOO!

OK So my mum works in an accountants and they recently upgraded their displays and they were selling old ones to their employees.

Since Mum works there she said I could buy this cool 17" Compaq display for fiftey dollars!

Of course I said yes!

I now have a setup in my room and it is looking really cool!

so Picture this.
1st level= Desk
Speakers, Ped Stand, Laptop

Top Level= Chest of Drawers
My Display

Ooooh Its cool to have more display space!

Hi Everyone, Sorry I have been so far out of the "pod-o-sphere" the last few weeks, this happens every year... Jayne and I find it harded to get in contact before our NCEA Practice Exams, if you are an early listener you will remember this was the same time last year we began the show.

So in an hour I am going to be hoping on a bus for a 7 hour drive to Christchurch and in that time i am going to catch up on the 20+ podcasts I listen to as well as finish reading Mockingbird.

Within the next few weeks we are going to be sitting all our french internal exams. AAAAAAAAAH! I am studying hard and level 2 French is so much harder than level 1 NCEA. Cross your Fingers Guys!

Only 3 More days untill The Seniors Night Out Ball (SNOB) for my school.
If you have been listening to the Nick and Jayne Show, you will know Jayne and I are getting quite excited.
I got My Tux with its little bow tie and my chucks (which reminds me I really should clean them.)

It is going to be a lot of fun and we get to 'Get Down' to such classics such as the 'Gay Gordon' and 'Snowball Waltz.'
We tis going to partay like 'twas 1854!

Oh well boston legal is on so I gotta go.

Don't Kill the Mocking Bird... Kill the Book!

Okay so our English class has to read "To Kill a Mocking Bird" for our end of year and mid term exams, which are getting closer and closer I might add.

Now firstly when I saw the book it was a brand new edition and it looked like quite a read, so that night I hop into bed to begin reading and after the first page I fall asleep! It was so boring.

Now I know how important it is for me to read this book so I am going to press on but not only was it boring it was confusing too... so many big words. argh i'm going insane.
I went to the video show (United Video of course ;-) to get a copy of the DVD just so I could get the gist of it before I read it... then I won't be as confused.

Although for a movie made in 1962 I must say it was quite a good flick.

Oh I hope I pass this!

The Moment it all Clicks

Ever since last year I have been studying French at my High School.
I had been wanting to since I began Year 9.

It took a lot of work to pick it up and to tell you the truth last year I was really lazy.

I ended up failing my end of year French exams in 2005. Bummer.
So this year I am making an effort HOURAH!

A few months ago during French I had a moment (the first moment in my life) that all of the stuff I learnt and didn't understand last year fell into place and I had a big mental click.

~The Best feeling in the world!~
Now I feel really conmfident with the language

If you listen to my podcast The Nick and Jayne Show you will know that I recently won The Big Contest.
For First Prize I won a 1gb White iPod Nano and a Dawn and Drew Tshirt.

Now when I recieved my prizes from mike at Thoughtout through the mail. When I did I noticed there was also another box in the package.

Mike so Kindly also included a Ped2 iPod Pedestal, Of course I was excited, I mean who wouldn't want something to make your iPod shine above all your other digital devices.

Its Strong Surdy white Base made it perfect to sit beside the family iMac. Don't be fooled by the pictures this isn't some plastic knock off. It's the real deal.
It has Grippy tabs on the inside to prevent scratching on the iPod and also it has a little hole so that you can feed your syncing cable thru it.

It dosen't just work on one type of product though, yes it can hold all models of iPod's (Except Shuffles, but who considers that an iPod anyway?) I can also hold most other devices such as Cell Phones and Blackberrys.

Currently I am using it for my 30GB iPod Video whilst it is my second hard drive, but when I first Recieved it, it was pre- made for the Nano using the Ped N-Kit

I decided my blog was getting a bit boring so I thought i'd re-make it.
This theme was a bit of a template but mostly my own.

I'm gunna hook up my blog with Feedburner tonight so you can subscribe wih itunes if I Ever put videos out.
The reason I put the "Burning down the house" Video on You Tube was so I don't get sued :)

With a new blog I'm going to make sure i post more times a week to keep you entertained. Also I am going to start blogging about cool Mac Apps and Random Products I may like.

This last week has been really busy. I have had to Drive through to Dunedin 3 Nights in one week.
Not to mention having to get up one morning at 5am to go to work.
Oh yeah I forgot tomorrow I have to go to Dunedin again. (That three hour trip is getting annyoing)

Hopefully the results for the big contest will be out soon.
Some good news is on the 23rd... ITS MY BIRTHDAY! 16 Years Old! Can't wait

Hey Homies
last night i went to dunedin for the play music seminar. Made by Apple NZ and hosted by King Kapisi and also Brad Carter from steroiogram.

It was really funny because half way through the seminarthe apple guy stopped talking and looked at me, then he kept going. But then he stops again and in front of everyone looks at me and says "are you Nick?"
and i'm like "ummmm, yes"
"Oh my gosh Nick from the Nick and Jayne Show! You're like really famous"

and then Brad said he knew who I was also as he had seen me on the News lol.

So long story short after talking with brad he says that we can play any steriogram music that we want on the Nick and Jayne Show. Cool aye.

Oh and for those who don't know who they are. Apple used on of their songs in one of the older ipod ads. called "walkie talkie man!"

Well I'm really tired i'm sitting on my bed (I have just been cleaning at my work for about 5 hours and feel like I need another Shower.) Just playing around with bebo... Its pretty cool everyone should go and check it out!

Last night I went in Mr Mazda (my Car) to the warehouse to buy myself a new TV for my birthday even though my birthday is for a month but it was on special and mum is paying for half. What could I say?
But I take it out to the car and realise "Crap, its too big!" so I had to go home and get the loser cruiser (old bluebird hatchback like 1992 or something) to bring it home.

Its a Sanyo 21" and I am really mad because I cant take it out of the box till the 23rd of may :( but it will be a great asset to my bedroom. Come to think about it, where will i put it. There is already no room for my 14" TV as it is.

Tomorrow night is the special 3d episode of that TV show medium, I don't usually watch it but since it is in 3D I thought it would be quite cool.

Also tonight I was supposed to be driving up to Dunedin for singing lessons but the roads are blocked because there has been a flood :( that annoys me because I was also going to go and see Scary Movie 4. Meh ill do it another Time.

Last few days of the holidays and they are spend working ARGH! Also I'm supposed to release some more episodes of the Nick and Jayne Show but i really am too tired.

I'm outta here, think I will go and watch Opera or something (she knows her stuff)

I'm really mad because I have been trying to make a really cool banner in flash for the Blog but it wont work.
It wont stay inside the bit I want it too

If anyone knows how to use flash, give me a shout and ill send the file so you could help me set it up :)
